With Imperial Car Service and choosing the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii tour you will be able to touch all the beauty that these places have to offer.
Our tour will start at 8:00 am on the dock of the ship, hotel or at the agreed point and will end at 5:00 pm in the same place. After a few hours of travel, we begin our day with the suggestive beauty of
Pompeii. October 24, 79 BC
More than a date, it is a scar in history, like so many others.
A scar that has left a much more evident mark than the others, thanks (if we can say so) to the lava of
Vesuvius, which after having exploded and descended on the surroundings and on all those lives like a hot hand of death, has perfectly preserved until nowadays everything it has landed on.
It was a day like any other in
Pompeii. A day that can be relived today by entering the archaeological area, walking through the alleys of the ancient city, in the shadow of that Vesuvius that was his condemnation.
It is full of wonderful views, on the roads and on the volcano.
Glimpses that always leave a lump in the throat.
It is not surprising that the site is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most visited archaeological sites in the world.
You will have 3 hours to visit the archaeological area, starting from the villas of the richest to the houses of the poorest, the spas, the gymnasium, the large amphitheater, the shops, the squares ...
Each place still has its frescoes, its objects, if you listen to those walls whisper the words and the history of those who lived there, until the day when it was inexorably cut down.
After being catapulted into the past, to restart with the right energy and continue our tour, we need to have lunch. Eating in
Pompeii is a real pleasure for your palate as the city boasts an ancient culinary tradition and the cuisine is full of recipes from Ancient Pompeii and Ancient Rome.
All the restaurants in Pompeii offer their customers typical dishes of the renowned Campania cuisine that go perfectly with dishes based on fresh fish caught in the nearby Tyrrhenian Sea.
We leave after lunch from Pompeii and, skirting the Gulf of the same name, we will head towards Sorrento, admiring the islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida in the background and the imposing mass of Vesuvius.
Once you have passed Sorrento, we will enter the state road 163, one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in Italy: you will be able to admire valleys, promontories, beaches and coves, citrus terraces, vines and olive groves. Continuing south (there is the opportunity to take photos along the way), after crossing
Praiano, a corner of paradise opens up before your eyes. Suspended between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Lattari Mountains, the
Amalfi Coast is an immense terrace overlooking the sea.
This stretch of the Campania coast is a riot of colors and flavors.
There is no doubt that you will lose your head for the Amalfi Coast. You will be greeted by the buzz of the many tourists who populate the square at the foot of the Cathedral dedicated to
St. Andrew. You can go up the famous steps of the Cathedral and admire the precious golden decorations of its arches.
The side streets of the Duomo have many bars and renowned pastry shops, ideal for tasting the typical lemon products.
These citrus fruits are the symbol of this land. and are used to make desserts and creams, but above all to prepare the famous limoncello, a sweet lemon flavored liqueur.
ADVICE : If you love sweets I suggest you to taste the Amalfi biscuits and the San Giuseppe zeppole. They are all artisan specialties.
A tour on the Amalfi coast cannot fail to end with a visit to Ravello. Here music and architecture come together, creating an atmosphere of unique magic that is palpable at every step. The villas and gardens create the perfect setting for one of the most incredible places this stretch of coast has to offer. Walking through the center of Ravello, you will find the typical square, the Duomo and many characteristic shops full of excellent local products. Among the most appreciated objects are the splendid ceramics, a true trademark of the coast and which come in different forms: top-level objects, plates, kitchen items, vases, decorative saucers and even tiles. Goldsmith craftsmanship is also very developed, crafts that work shells and sea products.
Our day comes to an end, we leave to return to the meeting point. We say goodbye in the hope of seeing you again as soon as possible, always choosing
Imperial Car Service.

Customers say about us
Friends in Westchester, NY highly recommended Paolo to us and he did not disappoint :) We went somewhere different every day with Paulo (Mon-Thurs) including a very early morning ride to Naples airport Friday. Paolo is very warm and friendly, so knowledgeable and has great recommendations. He really puts his all into his clients and personalizes the experiences...that’s huge! Highlights include: Vesuvius, Amalfi Coast drive (of course), lunch in Ravello with an amazing view, shopping in Sorrento & Positano, and listening to Paolo talk about the history, the countryside and his family. Definitely ask for Paolo!!
A friend in Boston told us to ask Imperial for Paolo as our driver, and we are so happy we did. He is truly a delight -- such a warm and knowledgeable and fun person.
He did everything he could to make the tours special for me and my family.
Without him, we would have missed the family run farms and wineries.
Thanks to him, we got to see the most beautiful areas of the Amalfi Coast, appreciating them even more with his explanations and guidance.
His driving, his professionalism and his English were all top notch, but mostly we will remember his wonderful company and the enjoyment we all took being together on our visit to beautiful Italy.
Paulo was recommended to us by friends in our community. We now join the chorus of people, some of them our friends, who deservedly have posted rave reviews of Paolo. My wife and I took an amazing 10 trip to the Amalfi coast (3 days in Sorrento and Capri, 3 days in Positano and 4 days in Ravello). Paolo helped us get back and forth from the airport and from one hotel to another. We also spent a whole day with Paolo visiting the small quaint villages between Ravello and Salerno. While planning the trip in the US, I was in constant email contact with Paolo, getting ideas and feedback from Paolo every step of the way. Paolo was amazingly informative, courteous, helpful and generous of his time for an unpaid service. I always got the feeling from Paolo that he was proud of this little strip of heaven called the Amalfi coast and that his mission/motivation was to share it with the rest of us. His enthusiasm is contagious and we grew to love the food, the culture and the people of this amazing region.
My wife and I always felt that Paolo was taking care of us and his sole goal was to maximize our experience in Amalfi. Paolo gave us insights and information about what it is like to be a local which we always enjoyed. He was entertaining but always intuitively knew when to give us our own space. Paolo was always flexible with our itinerary and willing to add/delete something as requested.
Paolo took us on a full day trip to the tiny little villages between Ravello and Salerno including Minori, Maiori, Cetara and Vietre Sul Mare. We wanted to experience the real Amalfi, beyond the tourist traps, where the locals live.
Paolo completely customized the tour. Paolo took us to some shops in Maiori that were off the beaten path and he took us to an amazing thousand-year old castle on a mountain top in Minori. We ate the fresh figs, grapes and carob off the trees as we walked through the gardens of the remote castle. Amazing experience that is not at all touristy. During the 2 hours we were there, we saw only 2 other couples. He took us to a plaque in Cetara which memorializes the Jews of this town who were forced to leave their homes during the holocaust (nobody knows about this plaque). We shared a lunch of fresh salads, fried anchovies and pasta with Paolo in Cetara. Paolo took pictures of us as we walked on the the deserted beach in Vietre Sul Mare at sunset.
We can't say enough about Paolo. He was amazing and helped make this trip truly spectacular.
This was one of the best days we had during our two weeks in Italy . Paulo was our driver for several days and was amazing .
He was accommodating , flexible and friendly.
When we got off at wrong traini station in Naples.. no problem .. Paulo came and got us !
His love of the Amalfi Coast is evident and you experience that when your travel with this tour. He is an excellent driver and we felt safe. His restaurant recommendations were the best! We can’t wait to return !
